Day 16 - Our foray around the isles begins - Jura, Scarba, Shuna and Luing today.

Today's itinerary

One of many fish farms.
Just to prove we did sail using my garden pruning extension to hold out the genoa.
A grey day soon materialised in a warm cloudy day with sunny periods and finished with glorious sunshine and picture postcard scenery. The tides in the infamous Gulf of Coryvreckan were not in our favour so we did not pass between Jura and Scarba but past  Scarba to the east , crossing the sound of Luing and up the sound of Shuna with Shuna to our right and sailed up Loch Melfort at a very leisurely pace while enjoying lunch, before returning down the loch towards Craobh Haven.
The deck chair sailor.

Jura on the Left, Gulf of Coryvreckan with Colonsay in the distance and Scarba on the right
In the evening we walked across to Ardfern with clear blue sky and warm sunshine, eat well in the Galley of Lorn and walked back still with the full benefit of the sun. Surely Scotland at it's best.

Shuna with the isolated Shun Cottage.

Craobh Marina
